Overview

Torque's rebate system rewards active users with fee cashback distributed quarterly. Your rebate amount is determined by your activity score, transaction count, & staking tier.

Quarterly Rebates

Rebates are calculated & distributed every quarter (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4). Each quarter has its own leaderboard & reward pool.

Activity-Based

Your rebate is based on platform activity including trades, transfers, lending, borrowing, & other DeFi interactions.

Tier Multipliers

Higher staking tiers receive larger rebate multipliers, increasing your cashback percentage.

How Rebates Work

Calculation Method

Your rebate is calculated using:

Activity Score: Weighted sum of all platform interactions
Transaction Count: Number of transactions in the quarter
Tier Multiplier: Bonus based on staking tier
Volume: Total transaction volume

Rebate Formula

Rebate = (Activity Score × Tier Multiplier × Volume Factor) × Cashback Rate

Where:
- Activity Score = Sum of weighted platform interactions
- Tier Multiplier = 1.0x (Bronze) to 2.5x (Diamond)
- Volume Factor = Logarithmic scaling based on volume
- Cashback Rate = Percentage of fees paid returned as rebate

Activity Types

Different activities contribute to your score:

Trade (weight: 1.0x)
Cross-chain transfers (weight: 1.2x)
Lending/Supply (weight: 0.8x)
Borrowing (weight: 1.0x)
Staking (weight: 1.5x)
Business transactions (weight: 1.3x)

Tier System

Rebate Tiers

Bronze1.0x multiplier

Silver1.3x multiplier

Gold1.6x multiplier

Platinum2.0x multiplier

Diamond2.5x multiplier

Your tier is determined by your staking amount. Higher tiers receive significantly larger rebates.

Leaderboard

The rebate leaderboard ranks users by their activity score for each quarter. Top performers receive additional bonuses:

Top 10: 50% bonus on rebate
Top 50: 25% bonus on rebate
Top 100: 10% bonus on rebate

Leaderboard rankings are updated in real-time & finalized at the end of each quarter.

Claiming Rebates

Claim Process

Quarter ends & rebates are calculated
Rebates become claimable (typically 1-2 days after quarter end)
Navigate to the Rebates page
Review your rebate amount & breakdown
Click "Claim Rebate" to initiate claim
Approve & confirm the claim transaction
Receive ETH cashback in your wallet

Vesting Schedule

Some rebates may be subject to vesting:

Standard rebates: Immediate claim
Large rebates (> $10,000): 25% immediate, 75% vested over 3 months
Vested amounts unlock monthly
Vesting schedule shown in rebate details

Troubleshooting

Rebate Not Showing

Rebates are calculated after quarter end (1-2 day delay)
Ensure you had qualifying activity during the quarter
Check that you're viewing the correct quarter
Verify your wallet address is correct

Cannot Claim

Rebates become claimable 1-2 days after quarter end
Ensure you have sufficient gas (ETH) for the claim transaction
Check that the rebate amount is greater than zero
Verify you're on the correct network

Activity Score Low

Increase platform activity (trades, transfers, DeFi interactions)
Stake TORQ to increase tier multiplier
Focus on higher-weighted activities (staking, cross-chain transfers)
Maintain consistent activity throughout the quarter
