Wallet Providers
Torque supports two connection paths: Continue with Email (creates a Torque Wallet. A smart account) & Connect External Wallet (an EOA via RainbowKit). You have one active wallet at a time (Torque Wallet or external EOA). For the full list of supported chains, see Chains. Gasless flows use Torque's sponsorship policy, which controls which chains are enabled & spending limits.
One address everywhere: A Torque Wallet is one smart account address you use across the app for that session. Recovery: Access is tied to your email; you can re-verify with email OTP to regain access to your Torque Wallet.

How do I connect?
- Continue with Email: Enter email → OTP → Torque smart account is created. Gasless via Torque's sponsorship policy.
- Connect External Wallet: RainbowKit; EOA only. You pay gas for trades/lend; borrow is not available (create a Torque Wallet with email to borrow).
One active wallet. How to switch
Only one wallet is active at a time. To switch:
- Click on your connected wallet address in the app
- Select "Disconnect"
- Choose "Continue with Email" or "Connect External Wallet" to connect a different wallet
Hardware Wallets
Ledger hardware wallets provide the highest security:
- Connect your Ledger device
- Unlock with PIN
- Open Ethereum app on device
- Approve transactions on device

- Confirm network switch in wallet
- Chain is now active
Troubleshooting
Wallet Connection Issues
Solution: Refresh page, clear cache, try different wallet
Solution: Switch network in wallet, then refresh Torque
Chain-Specific Issues
Solution: Consider using Layer 2 (Base, Arbitrum) for lower fees
Solution: Token may not be supported on that chain, check token contract
